Empowering Vocals | Engaging Stories | Igniting POSSIBILITIES.
BIO
Paula Ralph Birkett’s music and presentations are equal parts Bill Withers sincerity, Dianne Reeves sound, and Essence Empowerment Festival soul!
As a vocalist, songwriter, and actress Paula has played in venues big and small including the Schomburg Library for Black Culture, the Apollo Theater, The Greene Space at WNYC, and the United Nations, and has toured as a featured vocalist with choral ensembles throughout Europe.
Paula crafts performances and presentations for people going through some kind of transition - building a business, recovering from a loss, creating a family, getting healthy, or becoming an adult. She believes everyone has a champion inside that could use some reinforcement saying, "Every superhero needs inspiration and encouragement to win. That's my main goal - helping you win!"
She is currently the featured vocalist in the progressive jazz group Tyrone Birkett | Emancipation and is presenting her keynote concert Perception to Decisions: See yourself / Be yourself. This grant winning presentation centers around the ideas embedded in her music of positive self-perception and empowerment.
Paula is currently accepting bookings. She can be found on Facebook and Bandcamp. Visit her at www.singpaula.com
